The Ridge HOA

The City of Federal Way has announced encouraging public safety results for the first half of 2026. According to preliminary crime data, overall crime has declined by 21% compared to the same period in 2025, continuing a positive trend of improving public safety throughout the city.

Several major crime categories saw significant reductions during the first six months of 2026, including:

• Murder: Down 43%
• Robbery: Down 21%
• Residential Burglary: Down 51%
• Commercial Burglary: Down 47%
• Motor Vehicle Theft: Down 54%

In addition, shots fired incidents have decreased by 22% compared to the first half of 2025.

Here’s a quick look at what’s there.

F-Dub Security Services is our contracted security patrol. Call them to report suspicious activity or security concerns in the neighborhood.

Eyes on Federal Way is a great resource for non-emergency problems around the city: potholes, abandoned shopping carts, garbage in the streets, street maintenance, street light requests, downed trees, and other quality-of-life issues. The app uses GPS to recognize your location, gives you a menu of common issue types to select from, and lets you upload pictures with your request. You can also track the status of reports submitted by you or other members of the community.

We’re excited to bring Ridge neighbors together for our annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Big Park Pavilion.

National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our sense of community, get to know neighbors, and build connections that make The Ridge such a special place to call home. It’s also part of a nationwide initiative that encourages partnerships between communities and local public safety organizations.

Dinner is covered! We’ll be providing pizza and bottled water for everyone to enjoy. We invite each household to bring a favorite dessert or appetizer to share, whether homemade or store bought, sweet or savory, every contribution is appreciated.

To help everyone stay comfortable, please bring folding chairs, as pavilion seating is limited.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the neighborhood, National Night Out is the perfect chance to meet neighbors, catch up with friends, and enjoy a fun summer evening together.
